1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Lectro ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access or use the App.

These Terms apply to all users of the App, including students, administrators, and any other individuals who access or use our services.

2. Description of Service

Lectro is a university companion application that provides the following services:

• Queue management for campus services (bursary, library, clinic, admin)
• Digital wallet for payments, airtime, data, and utility bills
• Lost and found item reporting and matching
• Access to past examination papers and academic resources
• Campus announcements and notifications
• Marketplace for buying and selling items with escrow protection
• Student verification and profile management

3. User Accounts and Registration

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features of the App, you must:

• Create an account with accurate and complete information
• Provide a valid email address and student ID
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent

3.2 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
• Impersonate any person or entity or falsely state your affiliation
• Upload, post, or transmit any content that is harmful, offensive, or violates others' rights
• Interfere with or disrupt the App or servers connected to the App
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the App
• Use automated systems to access the App without permission
• Engage in fraudulent transactions or payment fraud
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users

5. Payments and Transactions

5.1 Wallet Services

The App provides wallet services for making payments. By using these services, you agree to:

• Provide accurate payment information
• Authorize transactions only for legitimate purposes
• Not use the wallet for money laundering or illegal activities
• Accept that all transactions are final unless otherwise stated

5.2 Fees

Some services may incur fees. All fees will be clearly disclosed before you complete a transaction. We reserve the right to change fees with reasonable notice.

5.3 Refunds

Refund policies vary by service type. Marketplace transactions are protected by escrow and subject to our dispute resolution process. Digital goods (airtime, data) are generally non-refundable once delivered.

6. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Lectro and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our services or included software without our express written permission.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you post, upload, or share through the App. By posting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and distribute your content for the purpose of operating and promoting the App.

You are solely responsible for your content and represent that you have all necessary rights to post such content.

8. Prohibited Content

You may not post, upload, or share content that:

• Is illegal, harmful, or violates any laws
• Infringes on intellectual property rights
• Contains viruses, malware, or malicious code
• Is spam, fraudulent, or misleading
• Harasses, threatens, or discriminates against others
• Contains explicit or inappropriate material

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

9.1 Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee that the App will be available at all times or free from errors. We may suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

9.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lectro shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lectro, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of another.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in the App.

12. Dispute Resolution

For marketplace transactions, we provide an escrow system and dispute resolution process. If you have a dispute with another user, please contact our support team.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable laws, unless otherwise required by law.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the App. Your continued use of the App after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Lectro operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
